Miss Hindle and Mrs Ibitoye will be working with the Kingfishers this year.

Andy Warhol

We have been creating our own stamps using string. We are going to be using our stamps to print colourful repeating pictures in the style of pop artist Andy Warhol.

In art we used chalks to create firework pictures.

All the children in KS1 have been learning about Harvest in their RE lessons. The children and their families in Woodpeckers, Kingfishers and Goldfinches have donated tins, bottles and boxes of food and created a Harvest hamper. The Foxton Centre were over the moon to receive all of our generous harvest donations. It is so nice to help others in our neighbourhood. Well done everybody!

“We have far more in common with each other than that which divides us”.

Our amazing artwork for the RE/Art day. We used pipe cleaners to create unique faces. We wanted to show that although we are all different with different beliefs, we are all still part of the human race.

We have been learning all about the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Hundertwasser believed clothing should be unique to an individual and often wore mismatched socks! The children came to school today wearing odd socks just like the artist!

Today we celebrated Red Nose Day in School. We brought a donation to school and we wore red clothes for the day. We talked about the importance of charity and raising money for other people that are less fortunate than us and then we created these brilliant red nose day biscuits.
