Kingfishers

My name is Mrs Carr, and I am the class teacher alongside Mrs Patel, Mrs Ibitoye and Miss Salisbury who are our amazing Teaching Assistants.

Year 1 and 2 marks the beginning of your infant years at school, which means you are about to embark on an incredible journey. Let's make it a year to remember. We will be learning lots of exciting topics linking to the past, present and future of our world.

General Reminders

• Reading: Each day your child will come home with a reading book. This book is appropriate to your child’s reading ability. Please listen to your child read each night and sign their reading record to say you have done so. It is important that this is returned to school each day.

• PE: We have two PE sessions a week, Wednesdays (Indoor) and Thursdays (Outdoor). Please make sure the children come to school in their PE kits on those days. If they have long hair, ensure it is tied back and earrings are taken out or covered.

• Library: Each week, the children will have the opportunity to visit the school library and choose a new book to read and enjoy. This is on a Friday afternoon so please ensure their Library book is in school on that day so they do not miss out on this opportunity.

• Water Bottles/Snack: Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle each day. A healthy snack will be provided by school for your child to enjoy during snack break.
