Special Needs

Meeting the special educational needs of our pupils

Frenchwood Community Primary is committed to providing an appropriate and high quality education to all the children living in our local area. We believe that all children, including those identified as having special educational needs have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is accessible to them, and to be fully included in all aspects of school life. As a school, we are committed in our approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and are supported by Lancashire Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.

 

At Frenchwood Community Primary, we make provision for children with SEN within each of the four categories identified in the 2014 SEN Code of Practice. Procedures will follow the graduated response:
